Moira studied at Dundee College of Art from 1950 to 1954. 

After her death in 2016, The college (now Duncan Jordanstone College of Art and Design) accepted a large amount of Moira's early work into their archive including her early student drawings and sketch books, and her fashion and commercial illustrations.
